Fence Designer draw the layout
Sketch the shape first, don't worry about scale. Then work the run list on the right: tap a run to set material, height, and exact footage (decimals OK), tap 🚪 to put a gate on it. Or switch to Gate mode and click lines directly. Double-click any line to type its footage. 📐 Make to scale redraws the picture true to your numbers, and Apply does it automatically. Your typed feet always drive the estimate.

Select a fence line to edit it.
This replaces the Runs & Gates tabs with what you drew, then jumps to the Estimate.
Fence Runs
Enter each straight section of fence as its own run. (A drawing tool can fill these later — same fields.)
| # | Material | Style | Height | LF | Start | End | Wood pkg | Notes |

A corner is shared between two runs — set both adjoining endpoints to "Corner".
Gates
Each gate opening splits its run — a post on both sides: reinforced hinge post (1 per hinged door) + latch-side end post on walk gates.

Material List & Costing production / ordering prices = placeholders
Grouped by category. Unit costs come from the Pricing tab (upload your CSV there). Qtys rounded up.
Manual Additions internal / ordering only
Extra line items on top of the computed list — for job nuances the tool can't know (e.g. "it says 42 line posts, add 4"; drip edge). Additive only: these never change a computed quantity. They flow into the internal quote, priced totals, and Order Lists — not the customer proposal.
Free-text items with ➕ Add to catalog are written into the in-memory catalog for this session and appear in the picker and the downloadable Pricing CSV — keep that exported CSV to make them permanent.
